Broughton, Bertha E, 76, Seward, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at home May 20, 2015. Born October 7, 1938 the daughter of the late Jesse and Esther Viola (Birge) McGinnis. Also preceded in death by husband Delbert M. Broughton; brothers Harry, Jesse, James, Willis and Gene McGinnis. Survived by children Delbert Broughton, Seward; Douglas Broughton and wife Dianne (Crooks), Seward; Karen Boring and Mark Boring, Dilltown; grandchildren Charles "Chuck" Boring and fiancé Meg, Westmont; Jessica Boring, Dilltown; Douglas, Jr "D.J.", Christopher and Lindsey Broughton, all of Seward. Brothers Ervin McGinnis, Gas Center; George McGinnis; Raymond McGinnis, Shinglehouse. Sisters Orvetta Hoffman, IL; Thelma Moore, MI; and Margaret Shomo, Seward. Bertha was a retired employee of Bestform and was very dedicated to her family and enjoyed most of all spending time with her grandchildren. Friends received 2-4 and 7-9 PM Friday at Richard C. Stuart Funeral Home, 392 E. Philadelphia St., Armagh where service will be held Saturday at 12 PM. Wayne Boring officiating. Internment Armagh Cemetery.
