Mildred "Bea" (Waddell) Ankney, 102, native of New Florence passed away July 19, 2022, at Colonial Courtyard at Clearfield.  Born October 9, 1919, in New Florence the daughter of late Albert and Lillie (Tilley) Waddell.  Also preceded in death by husband John Ankney and brother Robert "Red" Waddell.

Survived by daughter Jackie Houser and husband David, West Decatur; granddaughter Becky Lutchko and husband Gabe, Kylertown; and great-grandchildren Ethan and Hadley Lutchko.

Bea enjoyed cross word puzzles and word search puzzles.  She enjoyed gardening, growing plants and she was the type of person who could grow anything.  She also enjoyed her pet parakeet Toby.

Friends received 11 am till time of service 12:30 pm Saturday at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, 139 Ligonier Street, New Florence.  Pastor Sharon Hamley officiating.  Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery.
