Penrose, Barbara Elizabeth, 77, passed away July 14, 2017 at Indiana Regional Medical Center. Born January 20, 1940 in Bolivar the daughter of the late William and Lois (Mangus) St. Clair. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 60 years Donald J. Penrose and daughter Ms. Deborah Ann Zappala and her husband Dr. James Dunlap, King George, VA. Sisters Linda Conran and husband Dave, Kittanning and Alice Shirly and husband Ron, TN. Barb was a devoted wife and mother to her family and loved spending time at her daughter's farm with the horses. She loved her garden and her dogs who preceded her in death Blossom, Babe and Kissie. In her younger years Barb was a sales clerk for Artwel's dress store in Blairsville, but was drawn back home to take care of her family and answer phones for the family business, J&D Penrose. Barb was very proud of her American Indian Heritage. Friends received from 4 – 7 PM Sunday at the Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, 139 Ligonier St., New Florence where service will be 11 AM Monday.
