Obituary of David G. Evans

Evans, David G., 79, New Florence, passed away at his home surrounded by family. Born July 31, 1936 in Johnstown the son of the late Gurney and Mary (Bailey) Evans. Also preceded in death by wife Jean (Maddison) Evans, great-grandchildren Ryder Jeremiah Pervis and Baby Girl Pervis, sisters Virginia Bender and Dolly Van Gundy, brother George Evans. Survived by children Deborah Jungers and husband Lonnie, Brandon, MS; Cindy Nevaril, Adams, NE; Cathy Carney and husband Doug, New Florence. Grandchildren Ryan Jungers, Makayla Pervis, Jennifer Nevaril, Adam Nevaril, Erin Quick, Kyle Carney; Jason Carney; great-grandchildren Karter, Logan, Raya, Maya, Lucas, Cheyanne and Cliodhna. Dave served in the both US Air Force and the US Army, Lifetime member of the V.F.W. and American Legion, Greater Johnstown F&AM Lodge 538, Johnstown; life-member of New Florence Vol Fire Co. Dave's great joy was his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Friends received 6-9 pm Sunday and 2-4 and 6-9 pm Monday at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, 139 Ligonier St., New Florence, where service will be held 11 am Tuesday. Chaplain Tom Spiker officiating. Internment Fairfield Cemetery.
