Obituary of Monna L. Conrad

It is with profound sadness that the family of Monna L. Conrad announce her passing with gladness her ascension to Glory. Mona L. Conrad, 78, New Florence died April 24, 2015 at home. Born November 25, 1936 in Johnstown. Monna was a longtime member of Seward United Methodist Church, the church she was married in and joyfully served in many capacities. Monna also enjoyed spending time with her girlfriends of GJHS class of 1955. She was also an active member of the New Florence Women's Club and the Red Hat Society. Monna loved fishing with her husband and boys which included all the friends that learned to love the Canada trip. Monna also loved gardening and working in her yard and in her home making sure all were well groomed. Preceded in death by her mother Dorothy Malloy, husband Ronald E.Conrad, and daughter-in-law Paula (Hedges) Conrad. Survived by children Ronald L. Conrad and wife Jill (Walker), Elderton; Carol L. Solich and husband Allen, New Florence; Thomas W. Conrad and wife Suzanne (Fox), New Florence; William R. Conrad, Ocean City, MD; grandchildren Brook Zapf and husband Nick, Pittsburgh; Tyler Walker and fiancé Megan Johnson, Pittsburgh; Bailey Conrad, Elderton; Brandon Rensko and wife Lindsey, Ligonier; Alisha Plowman and husband Brian, New Florence: Lucas Rensko and wife Mary Catherine, Honolulu, HI; Taylor Solich and Tanner Solich, both New Florence; Hannah Conrad, Greensburg; Olivia Conrad, Bismarck, ND; and Catherine Conrad, New Florence; Brittany Conrad and Ryan Conrad, both Blairsville; great-grandchildren Harper and Bexley Zapf, Blake and Scarlet Rensko, Scout Hinton and Ben Plowman. Mona is also survived by a brother William Snyder and sisters Marion Pierce and Rexann Malloy along with numerous nieces and nephews that she loved very much. Friends received 7-9 pm Saturday and 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, 139 Ligonier St., New Florence. Funeral service will be held 11 am Monday at Seward United Methodist Church, 213 Indiana Street, Seward. Rev. Scott Hamley officiating, Internment Armagh Cemetery. »(Do not delete this line.
